Storytime with Raggedy Auntie

Ages 3 and up; Ideal for ages 8 years old and younger

Sold in 15-minute increments

Raggedy Auntie engages young learners with books based on your event or party theme! Songs, stories, and excitement will always accompany this rainbow-sweatered storytelling marvel.

Cakes and Ale: A Feast at Shakespeare's Table

Ages 9 and up

1 hour; additional cooking hour can be added

In this hands-on workshop, we will discuss the foods and drinks that Shakespeare used to convey specific feelings and subtext in his famous plays, how they were made, and how they compare to modern food! All attendees receive a cookbook! Make the experience last longer by adding posset-making or apple roasting.

Rosemary for Remembrance: A Walk in Shakespeare's Garden

Ages 9 and up

1 hour; additional cooking hour can be added

Let's dive into Shakespeare's texts to discuss the plants and flowers that Shakespeare used to convey specific feelings and subtext in his famous plays, what they look like, and where they grow! Add on a floral arrangement supplement to extend the experience.

Spooky Shakespeare: Ghosts and Ghouls

Ages 9 and up

1.5 hours

A perfect seasonal workshop for those who have outgrown storytime but want to engage in some haunted exploration. Let's go ghost hunting through Shakespeare's plays to see what (or who) we will discover! 

Spooky Shakespeare: Witches and Fiends

Ages 9 and up

1.5 hours

Another seasonal offering (but which season, really?) for older learners! In this one, we will explore Shakespeare's witches and fiends with a touch of the spooky supernatural! 

LGBTQIA+ History

Ages 13 and up

1-2 hours

I specialize in gender and sexuality education with Our Whole Lives (UUA). Let me walk your group through some basics of LGBTQIA+ history and the intersectional justice issues surrounding the LGBTQIA+ experience.

ABCs of LGBTQIA+

Ages 13 and up; can be customized for younger ages

1-2 hours

Explore the culture and diversity of the LGBTQIA+ community, ways to be a better ally, and simply find out about gender, sexuality, and the vast expanse of humankind.

Shakespeare Semesters

Ages 13-15 and 16-18; Also available for adults upon request

1 hour per week for 10 weeks

Available virtually and in-person

Semester-long Shakespeare classes that dive deep into the works of the Bard. No tests, but creative responses are part of each text.

  • Histories A: King Henry VIII, King Richard III, King Henry V

  • Histories B: King Henry IV Parts 1 & 2; King Richard II

  • Histories C: King Henry VI Parts 1-3

  • Comedies A: As You Like It, A Midsummer Night's Dream, Twelfth Night

  • Comedies B: Much Ado about Nothing, Love's Labour's Lost, The Two Gentlemen of Verona

  • Comedies C: All's Well that Ends Well, The Comedy of Errors, The Merry Wives of Windsor

  • Tragedies A: Hamlet, Julius Caesar, Macbeth

  • Tragedies B: Antony and Cleopatra, King Lear, Romeo and Juliet

  • Tragedies C: Coriolanus, Othello, Pericles

  • Romances: Cymbeline, The Tempest, The Winter's Tale

Early British Drama Play Studies

Ages 13-15 and 16-18; Also available for adults upon request

1.5 hours per week for 5 weeks

Available virtually and in-person

Explore Early British plays in depth with interactive and creative exploration techniques. Suggest a play of your own, or choose from a list provided upon booking. Playwrights include Aphra Behn, Francis Bacon, John Ford, George Peele, Christopher Marlowe, Margaret Cavendish, and, of course, William Shakespeare.

Playwriting Workshop

Ages 13 and up

Minimum 3 hours; recommended 6 hours

Available virtually and in-person

Youth put pen to paper and leave the workshop with education, character development tactics, script analysis techniques, and in the longer format, their own 5 to 10 minute play!

Teambuilding

2-5 hours

In-person or virtual, ground based initiatives and cooperative games are paired with open debriefing conversation to get a feel for the way the group interacts. Learn your group's dynamic and develop a stronger sense of community and collaboration!
