Today on our Storytime, we are visiting Garst Mill Park in Roanoke, Virginia. It is one of my favorite places where I live! There are lots of things to do there: a playground with swings and slides, picnic shelters and tables, basketball courts, tennis courts, plenty of biking and hiking trails, and even a Little Free Library where you can drop off and pick up books!
Parks are free resources from localities like cities, states, and sometimes private institutions that give us a safe place to get exercise and use our imaginations. As a kid, I loved going to parks and spending time outdoors. Nowadays, I like to go for walks and read in parks, especially this one! There is so much beauty in all seasons at the park, and it's a wonderful place to get some safe fresh air. What do you like about your local park?
